A Shreveport man has turned himself in in connection with a July 29th shooting at a house party in the 8500 block of Elmview Street.  Someone drove by the house and fired shots at the house, hitting two people.  Their wounds weren't life-threatening.  After talking to witnesses, police investigators developed 32-year-old Melvin Patterson as a suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.  Patterson, accompanied by his attorney, surrendered to police.  He's charged with attempted first-degree murder.
