Two days after the Shreveport, Bossier City area donated over a millions dollars in it's very first 'Give For Good Day', a Time Magazine story says that Louisiana is among the ten stingiest when it comes to charitable giving.

Evidently giving a total of 1.2 million dollars in a single 24 hour period doesn't count for much with Time's editors, as our home state was lumped with Arkansas, West Virginia and, yes, even New York as the least charitable in the USA.

According to the article, the most generous states include Utah, Hawaii, Illinois and Minnesota.
