Hoax Busted: ‘Saved By the Bell’ Star Dustin Diamond NOT Charged With Murder

Reports claiming that the former 'Saved By The Bell' star Dustin Diamond has been charged with second-degree murder is a hoax. Diamond was held by Ozaukee County, Wisconsin police after stabbing a man in a bar altercation on Christmas Day.

Diamond was charged with reckless endangerment, carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct. He later posted $10,000 bond and was released.

Internet stories that the stabbing victim, whose wounds were not life threatening, had died of his wound are false, also.

Diamond played Screech on the teen oriented comedy from 1989-93 and also appeared in a number of series spinoffs and made-for-tv movies. He's most recently been attempting a career as a stand-up comedian.
