Fire Damages Bossier City Motel

A mid-day fire has heavily damaged one room of a Bossier City motel. Firefighters were called to the Siesta Motel in the 2500 block of East Texas Street just after noon when somebody across the street saw thick black smoke coming from the building. Heavy flames and smoke were coming from the room when firefighters got there, but they were able to bring the fire under control in about 10 minutes. It did not spread to any of the other rooms. Nobody was staying in that room at the time and there were no injuries. Cause of the fire is still under investigation
