Federal Taxes Need To Be Filed By Monday

Have you filed your federal taxes yet?  You should do it soon because the filing deadline is this Monday.

The Internal Revenue Service says the best way to file your taxes is online because it is more secure, quicker, and less-likely to have errors.

I got all of my taxes done yesterday, my federal income taxes and state income taxes in New York and New Hampshire.  Or I should say just my New York and federal taxes since New Hampshire does not have income tax on wages.

The Jindal administration had a plan to rid Louisiana residents of income taxes, but only in exchange for higher state sales taxes.  However, the governor is "parking" the plan to fix some flaws.

So Louisiana residents, your state income taxes need to by filed by May 15.  And Uncle Sam needs his return by Monday.
