Everett Harris Resigns From Caddo Animal Control

Everett Harris has resigned from his job as Director of Caddo Parish Animal Control. Harris has been under fire for two months after a Facebook  post of pictures of dogs with the Star of David across the photos.

Harris was placed on paid administrative leave pending an investigation by a private company hired by Parish Administrator Dr. Woody Wilson.  Harris apologized for the Facebook post, but it was too late for many local residents. A protest was held calling for the firing of Harris.

Harris' resignation is effective on December 1. He will remain on protective leave until then. A search is starting immediately for a new Director.
