Drought’s Effects on Area Waterways [PHOTOS]

If you're wondering just HOW bad the drought is here in our area, take a look at what the "duck pond" park on East Kings Highway looks like right now. In all my years of living in Shreveport-Bossier, I have never seen this happen. I took my little girl out there yesterday, and it looked more like a backyard swimming pool than a pond. It was so stunning to me, I had to take some pictures to share with you.  And this is a small body of water normally.  I remember there used to be a fountain where the ducks are congregated...I don't see one now. Feel free to post any pictures YOU'VE taken at other, larger waterways in the area.
