Domestic Disturbance Call Leads to Drug Arrest

A Bossier City man has been arrested on drug and other charges — following a domestic disturbance call early this morning. The Bossier Sheriff’s Office says 55-year-old George Alexander left his home in the 600 block of Hunters Crossing before deputies arrived — but they located him traveling south on Airline Drive. During their investigation, they discovered that Alexander hit his live-in girlfriend in the face twice with an open hand and pushed her to the floor multiple times. They searched his vehicle, where they found a loaded handgun, a glass smoking pipe and plastic bags with drug residue — and some pills. He was arrested for a variety of drug possession charges, domestic abuse battery, illegally carrying a weapon with drugs and driving under suspension.
