The Dixie Corn Maze is honoring the memory of all fallen police officers and first responders, but specifically Sgt. Tim Prunty.

Four years ago today, Sgt. Prunty made the ultimate sacrifice in his service to the community, when he was shot and killed in an ambush attack outside a Circle K store in Shreveport. Dixie Corn Maze officials are recognizing that sacrifice, and bringing awareness to the Sgt. Tim Prunty Memorial Scholarship Fund, managed through the LSU-S Foundation.

You can donate one of two ways to the scholarship fund. There will be various donation points on the maze grounds beginning at 6 p.m. today, or you can join the 815 Club by donating $815 individually or as a business. That money will go to the LSU-S Foundation. If you become an 815 Club member, the maze will advertise your business on its barn.

You can donate directly to the scholarship fund by sending a check or money order to the Foundation for the Sgt. Tim Prunty Memorial Scholarship. All donations are tax-deductible.

If you have any questions, call Mike Billings at the Dixie Corn Maze at (318) 828-6275 or (318) 759-7559.
