CenturyTel Center Name Change

Say “Good-Bye” to the CenturyTel Center and hello to the CenturyLink Center. The Monroe-based telecommunications giant has just renewed its naming rights for the Bossier City venue — but it’s changing the name to correspond with the company’s new name. Interim arena General Manager Brodie McMahon says work has already begun to change all of the signage around the arena — especially the signs that are most visable to the public. Under terms of the new agreement, CenturyLink will pay Bossier City three-and-a-quarter million dollars to retain the naming rights to the arena for the next ten years.
