Witness Pulls Woman from Car Just Before It’s Hit By a Train in Bossier City

It was a close call for a local woman.  A witness tells Bossier City police that a Kia Optima was speeding westbound in the 3600 block of Industrial Drive, when it left the roadway in a curve just before the railroad crossing.  The car drove through a ditch, then up onto the railroad tracks and stopped.

DOTD Says Road Construction on East 70th Street Expected to Take One Year

Why is the traffic on East 70th Street (La 511) between Fern Avenue and Creswell Road always backed up every day?

Road crews are widening and resurfacing the east and westbound lanes of East 70th Street and constructing a center turning lane. The City of Shreveport has to relocate the water lines and AEP SWEPCO is moving utility lines.
