Louisiana lawmakers are targeting illegal immigrants with a series of bills filed for consideration in the 2011 regular legislative session that opens today.
Proposed laws are geared toward verifying the residency status of those seeking jobs in the public and private sector as well as those who want public assistance or others arrested for crimes.
