Arson Suspect Nabbed

Shreveport fire investigators have nabbed an arson suspect. Yesterday afternoon, they arrested 23-year-old Derrick Harris of Shreveport and charged him with simple arson for allegedly setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's vehicle in the 4100 block of Raymond Street. Investigators estimate Harris caused more than $4,000 in damage. If he's convicted, he's looking at two to 15 years in prison.
