11-Year-Old Bossier Girl Donates Hair to Locks of Love

She had 15 inches of hair cut yesterday that will be donated to “Locks of Love.”
Elmore discovered St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital when she was in
third grade, and how living without hair affects sick children. She sold $800 worth of cookie dough back then to benefit St. Jude’s. Her birthday was this past Saturday and she wanted to share the gift of her hair with other children.

Elmore has been donating to charities most of her life. In Kindergarten, she was the top money collector at her school for “Jump Rope for Heart” to help fight heart disease.
