Whole Foods Draws Quite a Crowd to Monday Sneak Peak
The cash registers were ringing up sales, clerks were busy helping guests and butchers were carving up the meat as thousands of local residents showed up to get a sneak peak at the new Whole Foods Store on East 70th in Shreveport.
The store was open from 4pm to 7pm Monday to give residents a taste of what is available. It was a virtual "who's who" of Shreveport Bossier. You could see political leaders mixing with business leaders and top educators were spotted scoping out the organic fruits and veggies.
I snagged great deals on steaks and shrimp, but I also indulged on one of my weaknesses, all the specialty cheeses.
Whole Foods officially opens for business on Wednesday morning at 7:30. The first 200 guests in line will get a gift card to use in the store.
