If you are looking for a Covid-19 vaccine this week, you will have several opportunities. The health unit in your home parish has the shots available and several local drugs stores also have the shots available. There are also community-wide events planned.

In DeSoto Parish, there is a drive-thru vaccine operation at the old Walmart in Mansfield on Monday from 10am until 2pm. You can click here to register in advance, but it is not necessary.

Fairgrounds

The vaccine operation at the State Fairgrounds in Shreveport will be back open on Wednesday through Friday from 10am-4pm each day.

Linwood Avenue Site

The other community operation is also open Wednesday-Friday at the old Chevyland on Linwood. It will be open from noon until 5pm each day.

Vaccines will be administered to folks who meet current eligibility criteria. But that includes almost everyone. If you are going to a drug store to get the vaccine, you do need to call ahead and make an appointment.
