Chances are you know someone working in Midland, TX right now.

VICE News Tonight took a closer look at the oilfield boom that is currently happening in West Texas right now—or as one person described it: "Boomsanity." Centurion Technologies Operations Manager Josh Garcia says a "modern-day gold rush" is happening at the most active oilfield in the world, and there still aren't enough workers.

Many of the workers live in trailers that are set up on acres and acres of land due to the shortage of housing in the area. Some are divorced, some have a criminal history, some are starting a family, but they're all there to make a livin—especially when the money is this good.

According to Garcia, the lowest paid hands are making at least $80,000 a year working 6 months out of the year. Most of the workers are around 22 years old, making between $100-150k on average. I personally know a lot of guys who are out there now, and this VICE feature certainly lines up with what they've been telling me about Midland.

So, if you or someone you know is looking for work, or to "rewrite their story," Midland is definitely looking for good help.
