Shreveport Vice Squad Targets Stores & Sellers

Chief of Police Willie Shaw announced today that the Shreveport Police Department’s Vice Unit, with the assistance of the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Unit, conducted a two day special operation aimed specifically at reducing the sales of alcoholic beverages to minors in Shreveport. 

Agents made numerous undercover purchases of alcoholic beverages throughout the city of Shreveport on Friday, April 29^th and Saturday, April 30^th.  After confidential informants made purchases of the beverages, agents immediately went into the businesses and cited the individuals selling in violation of state law and city ordinance. 

The operation discovered over 50 businesses that were in violation and agents ended up charging 67 violators for violations pertaining to the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors. The businesses that were in violation are as follows:
