West Nile Virus Shows Up in Bossier

A case of west nile virus is now confirmed in Bossier Parish.

There are now 14 cases across the state. 3 of the cases have resulted in serious medical conditions. The victims have suffered brain swelling and remain in the hospital. Doctors warn that you could have west nile virus and not even know it. It shows up much like the flu.    MOSQUITO CONTROL OFFICES ARE STEPPING UP SPRAYING TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF THE VIRUS.
