A big homecoming today for Caddo Sheriff's Corporal Levi Brown...he returned to work this morning as a deputy after serving eight years in the U.S. Army. Brown had only been a sheriff's deputy for a couple of years when he was called to serve in the Iraq War in January 2003. His job at Caddo Correctional Center has remained vacant during his stint overseas. Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator says several deputies have military experience and have served during the war, but Brown has been gone the longest. Today, he has a full schedule...firearms requalification and recertification in first aid, CPR and defensive tactics. By the end of the week, Brown will return to CCC, where he'll spend a few weeks with a field training officer to reacquaint himself with policies and procedures and learn the ins and outs of a new computer system.
