Weather-Related Issues Today

High water is still an issue today, as our region deals with more rainfall. In Claiborne Parish, about 10 or 11 roads are barricaded due to flash flooding. In Shreveport, there are still problem spots because of fallen trees. None of those have been reported in Bossier City, but one street remains closed due to flooding from the heavy rains. Bellaire Boulevard at Barksdale Boulevard was barricaded overnight after police responded to a call from a motorist whose vehicle stalled after she attempted to drive through the high water there. She wasn't injured.

SWEPCO is also reporting power outages in Caddo and Vernon Parishes, and in Pike County, Arkansas. We'll be keeping an eye on that for you throughout the day.
