A Bossier City man has been arrested for breaking into a woman's car and then assaulting her when she caught him in the act.

The woman has told Bossier police she was leaving the Arbor of Bossier assisted living facility on Brandon Boulevard when she spotted a man sitting in the front seat of her car. When she confronted him, he got out of the car, struck her in the face, and threw her to the ground before he took of running.

An officer responding to the call spotted a man running and took off after him. A police K-9 flushed him out of a nearby wooded area and he was arrested. 18-year-old Cedarrian Huey has been booked into the Bossier City Jail on charges of aggravated burglary and resisting an officer. He was also booked for violating probation from a previous burglary conviction.

The victim received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by Bossier City Fire Department personnel.
