Shreveport Police Officer’s Truck Burglarized

Property Crimes detectives are working to identify and catch whoever's responsible for breaking into an off-duty Shreveport police officer's personal vehicle over the weekend.

The burglary was reported Saturday in the 6300 block of Garden Oaks Drive. The officer's 2002 Dodge pick-up truck, which was locked, was broken into, and the burglar made off with his department-issued Remington 870 12-guage, pump-action shotgun and department-issued M16 rifle.

The break-in is believed to have happened sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning. Anyone with information that might help in this investigation is asked to call Shreveport-Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373.
