Two Plain Dealing men picked the wrong person to ask for a ride home.  The person they asked was a Bossier Parish sheriff's deputy and he was in his patrol car at Highways 3 and 2 the time!  The Sheriff's Office says the deputy found out who the men were and checked them out.  He learned that both had outstanding warrants for drug distribution.  After arresting them on those warrants, the deputy searched them and found that 46-year-old Paul Anderson had a crack smoking device in his shoe.  He and 58-year-old Lee Manning were both booked into Bossier Max on the drug distribution charges.  Anderson was also charged with possessing drug paraphernalia.  Their bonds have been set at $35,000 each.
