Two Girls Injured in Early Morning Shooting in Shreveport
Two Shreveport girls were shot early this morning and are recovering from their injuries. The call came in at 2:30AM Wednesday morning to the 2200 block of Morningside Drive. Police were responding to reports of a shooting.
The reports from a witness say that the witness and his brother-in-law got in to a big argument at the home of the witness. Not long after the brother-in-law left the home, the house was peppered with a hail of bullets.
After the gunfire stopped, it was discovered that two girls inside the home had been hit. One girl suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, while the other had a bullet graze her skull.
The girls were sent to the hospital where they are recovering from their injuries. At this time, they have not detained a suspect. Police are currently investigating this shooting.
This comes after a violent Tuesday in Shreveport where a string of violence and shooting left 3 people dead and 2 injured from gunshot wounds. Police are still investigating those shootings and are asking the public for any help they can give.
