Shreveport attorney Jack Bailey talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright about President Donald Trump's trade policies and, more specifically, how the governments inaction for more than forty years has led to jobs lost, including many locally.

Bailey tells KEEL listeners that leaders of both political parties have, for decades, been ignoring the American manufacturing industry and its workers and the "the world has been fighting a trade war against America for forty years. Now, we've finally decided to start fighting back."

The Shreveport native also explains how federal trade policies going back to to the 1980s have cost the Shreveport - Bossier area as many as 20,000 manufacturing jobs, that have been lost, not because of the digital age or other economic evolution, but because of a conscious effort by leaders to move American companies to other nations.
