
Traffic Stop by Shreveport Police Leads to the Arrest of Felon

SHREVEPORT, LA- Traffic stop by Shreveport police leads to the arrest of a felon in possession of two firearms
On August 20th, 2023, around 1:00 a.m. Shreveport Police patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Spring Street. Upon contact with the driver, officers located narcotics and found that the passenger was in possession of a firearm.
Officers detained the men and found that the armed man was Damiel Robinson (6-25-98). Officers seized a firearm from Robinsons' possession. Further investigation revealed that the driver Bryan Lindsey (9-22-00) was in possession of two types of narcotics and another firearm.
The officers found that Robinson was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for felony offenses. Robinson was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Lindsey was arrested for one count of possessing schedule one with intent to distribute, one count of possession of schedule two, one count of possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and traffic offenses.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. Lindsey’s mugshot is not releasable under state law.
