[UPDATE]  The traffic lights at the intersection of Benton Road and the north end of the Benton Road Overpass are now functioning and normal traffic flow has resumed.

[ORIGINAL STORY]  An overnight wreck causes traffic lights to be out at the intersection of Benton Road and the north end of the Benton Road Overpass, near the old Kroger store.

A vehicle crashed into the traffic light box and a utility pole in that area, so traffic driving on Benton Road in front of the Bossier City Municipal Complex won't be able to go through the intersection. Drivers will need to utilize Beckett Street.

Traffic heading north and south on the Benton Road Overpass is not affected. SWEPCO crews hope to have power restored and the traffic light box replaced by late afternoon.
