SHREVEPORT, LA – Spiders are very abundant in Louisiana. About once a week, I stumble into a spider web on my carport around the house. You can hose things down every week, but they always come back with a vengeance.

When you check out some of the spiders living in Louisiana, you might feel the hair stand up on the back of your neck. We have some pretty creepy crawlers out there among us.

If you are like me, the spiders don't really bother me too much. They tend to run and hide from humans. But those spider webs are such a nuisance. They seem to want to weave their webs from the poles in my carport to my car every day. It's so annoying to walk out in the dark each morning and often get tangled up in a web. It's just plain creepy.
