A robbery investigation in west Shreveport lands a trio of Ohio men in jail. Minden police captured three men wanted for an alleged robbery that took place earlier in the day at the Petro Truck Stop in the 6900 block of West Bert Kouns.

A man at Love's Truck Stop called Minden authorities after seeing the men, who he said robbed him at the Shreveport truck stop. He told Shreveport property crimes detectives he was lured into some sort of game of chance by the three men. As he pulled his wallet out of his pocket to count his money, one of the suspects snatched the cash and all three took off.

During their investigation, Shreveport detectives got arrest warrants charging 41-year-old Roy Wallas, 29-year-old Darrell Noel and 65-year-old Jerry Chandler -- all of Cincinnatti, Ohio, with one count each of simple robbery. The men are being held by Webster Parish authorities and are awaiting extradition to Caddo.

Investigators believe the men may have victimized another person in Shreveport and are working to decide whether additionan charges are appropriate.

Shreveport police send thanks to the Minden Police Department, which was instrumental in solving the case.
