Six separate wildfires in central and northern Caddo Parish are out -- now the cleanup is underway.  Firefighters on the ground and National Guard troops in the air are looking  looking for and dousing hot spots.

And that's prompted Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain to issue a warning to all residents north of Oil City to be prepared to evacuate if law enforcement officials should tell them to do so.

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary Tom Vilsack has declared DeSoto and Red River Parishes as primary natural disaster areas due to losses caused by tornadoes that occurred on April 26 and 27.

Louisiana Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain has been elected president of the Southern United States Trade Association...or "SUSTA," as it's commonly called.
