
Louisiana Lawmakers Want a Toned-Down Super Bowl Halftime Show
SHREVEPORT, LA - Several Louisiana lawmakers are urging the Super Bowl organizers to keep the halftime show family friendly.
In fact, more than a dozen lawmakers have signed on to a letter to specifically request a toned-down version of a show that is ok for all in the family to view.
State Senator Valarie Hodges drafted the letter and 16 other Louisiana legislators, and 15 organizations have also signed on. This letter has been sent to the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and the Louisiana Stadium Expo District.
Governor Jeff Landry and several other state leaders were copied on this letter.
What North Louisiana Lawmakers Signed the Super Bowl Letter?
Senators Adam Bass and Thomas Pressly along with State Representatives Dodie Horton and Raymond Crews signed the letter. The letter points to previous shows that included "lewd acts and objectifying women. The letter says several of these shows have "violated community standards of decency."

The Super Bowl is set to kick off at 5:30pm in the Super Dome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9. Grammy Award-Winning artist Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the halftime show. Several surprise guests are also expected.
