State Treasurer John Kennedy Is Running for Senate
State Treasurer John Kennedy is in the race for U.S. Senate in Louisiana. David Vitter recently announced he would not seek reelection. Candidates are now lining up to run for the seat.
Kennedy told a gathering of supporters he wants to take the country back. He says our country has strayed too far from the values that many Louisianians were taught as children by their parents.
They taught me conservative values like God, country, family, discipline, hard work, education and I worry that America is losing those values.
Kennedy told KEEL News he would lead the charge to repeal Obamacare:
Obamacare sucks. Obamacare was supposed to make our lives better and make health insurance more accessible and cheaper. It has actually made our lives worse.
Kennedy joins fellow republicans Charles Boustany and John Fleming, both United States Congressmen and former Congressman Joseph Cao in the race to take over Vitter's seat in the upcoming November 8th election.
