Standoff In South Shreveport Is Over

More than a dozen units of the Shreveport Police Department have been on the scene of a possible standoff in South Shreveport.

Local police and the SWAT team have been on the scene of a standoff in South Shreveport for several hours. We now know that a three year old boy has been removed from the home safe and sound. Detectives are calling this a case of murder-suicide. But few details have been released. Police found a couple dead inside the home in the 800 block of Flournoy Lucas near Kingston Road. Officers say neighbors called 9-1-1 early today to report a shooting in the home. A 9-1-1 call also came from within the home. The SWAT team entered the home after having no contact with anyone inside....and found a man a woman dead. The little boy is believed to be the couple's grandson. He was not harmed.
