SHREVEPORT, LA-   Shreveport Police arrest a woman in a domestic violence stabbing incident.

On September 22, 2023, Shreveport Police officers were contacted in reference to a report of domestic abuse in the 2700 block of Murray Street. Arriving officers located a victim suffering from multiple lacerations to his neck and arms.

During the responding officer’s investigation, a location for the suspect was identified. Officers took Dekoushe Griffin (10/5/04) into custody. Griffin was reportedly in possession of the knife used in the violent act. Officers reported that Griffin was involved in a dispute with a household member when she armed herself with a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital with multiple injuries but is expected to recover.

Griffin was transported to Shreveport City Jail and charged with one count of domestic abuse battery with a weapon inflicting serious bodily injury, one count of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, and one count of Aggravated battery.

Three small children were present however, thankfully, were uninjured in the incident.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
