Boil Advisory Lifted in Shreveport as Progress Is Made On Ruptured Water Line
Good news on the water front in Shreveport. Work will continue today on the permanent repair of the transmission line at the T.L. Amiss water plant on Cross Lake.
A 42" water main at the site ruptured more than a week ago causing serious water woes in Shreveport.
Concrete has now been poured at the repair site, and crews are allowing it time to properly cure before moving to the next phase. Once the concrete has cured, crews will begin the disinfection process and pressure testing of the repaired section of pipe before placing the line back into service.
