As officers approached the intersection, they observed the SUV rapidly approaching and abruptly braking upon seeing the patrol vehicle. Using high beams to better identify the driver, officers noted the individual was wearing a black ski mask. The vehicle then fled westbound on Jefferson Paige, failing to comply with commands to stop.

A pursuit ensued, during which the suspect vehicle displayed reckless behavior, including:

· Traveling westbound on Jefferson Paige Road for 5.5 miles.

· Reaching speeds up to 90 mph.

· Brake-checking pursuing officers multiple times in an attempt to cause a collision.

· Entering oncoming traffic lanes on a two-lane road.

·

The pursuit concluded when the vehicle lost control on a curve and crashed into a ditch. Fortunately, no other vehicles were on the roadway during the incident.
