A man wanted by Shreveport police for a New Years Day shooting is now in custody.

Members of the United States Marshal's Fugitive Task Force have successfully tracked down and arrested 36-year-old Shuncey Bates.  He's been booked into Caddo Correctional Center on an outstanding warrant charging him with a single count of attempted second-degree murder.  His bond is set at $350,000.

Bates is accused of shooting 40-year-old Orlando Debrow during an argument in the 2600 block of Lillian Street.  Debrow is expected to make a full recovery from his wounds.
