Shreveport Police Officer Fired

A Shreveport police officer has been terminated. Police Chief Willie Shaw fired Officer Demond Wheatley following a pre-disciplinary conference. A brief statement from the Police Department says only that he was fired for violating department policies. It doesn't say which policies.  Wheatley had been a member of the Police Department since August of 2009.
