Shreveport Police Find Another Felon with a Firearm

On June 7, 2023, around 4:30 p.m. Shreveport Police Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop at Clark Boulevard and Jewella Avenue. Officers contacted Marthello Brownlee (11-8-74) inside the vehicle and found he was in possession of a firearm.
Further investigation into the matter revealed that Brownlee was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses. Brownlee was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The firearm was seized as evidence.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
