Shreveport Police Officers' Association President Michael Carter has filed a lawsuit against the Caddo District Attorney's office over their refusal to produce documents related to the disappearance of more than 14,000 stolen prescription pills worth over 110 thousand dollars from the police department's evidence room 3 years ago.

There was an internal investigation and the findings were given to the DA's office, but no one was reprimanded or arrested and all requests by the police for information have been denied. Now, no one can be charged with the theft because of statutes of limitations. The suit requests the DA turn over all documents and info they have.
