Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Aggravated Assault

On April 1st, 2023, at 4:30 a.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an armed person in the 400 block of Commerce Street. On arrival, the responding officers learned that a female identified as Alexis Ware (5-24-1998) was causing a disturbance outside of a local business.

On arrival, Shreveport officers found that Ware had been threatening individuals while armed with a handgun. The suspect reportedly pointed the gun at a victim and stated “I’m going to kill you.”

Ware was arrested for one count of aggravated assault, one count of illegal carrying of weapons, and one count of illegal possession of a weapon in a bar or nightclub.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
