SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest armed felon in domestic incident

On August 31st, 2023, around 5:05 a.m. Shreveport Police Patrol officers were called to a disorderly person in the 6700 block of Rasberry Lane in reference to a man causing a disturbance at a residence. Officers arrived and contacted Eric Jenkins (8-2-00) and found him to be armed with a firearm. Jenkins was reportedly causing a disturbance at the home of an ex-girlfriend.

Further investigation into the matter revealed that Jenkins was prohibited from possessing a firearm due to being a convicted felon for prior felony offenses. Jenkins was arrested on one count of being a convicted felon in possession and illegal carrying of weapons . The firearm was seized as evidence.

We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
