Shreveport Man Arrested for Trying to Burn Down Pregnant Woman’s House
SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest man for domestic incident involving arson
On October 19, 2023, around 5:45 p.m. Shreveport Police Patrol officers were called to a report of domestic trouble from a residence located in the 2700 block of Malcolm Street. Upon arrival, officers found that a physical altercation between a male and pregnant female had occurred. After the altercation the male reported attempted to set fire to the residence while the female and small children were inside. After a struggle, officers were able to detain the suspect.
Fortunately, no one was severely injured in the incident. Officers arrested Christopher Johnson (6-30-81) for one count of felony domestic abuse battery, one count of domestic abuse battery of a pregnant victim, three counts of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, four counts of resisting arrest, and one count of aggravated arson.
We are required to advise that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
