
Shreveport Man Arrested for Allegedly Shooting at Family Member

SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport police arrest man for assault with a firearm
In response to an assault and battery call on October 29 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Shreveport Police Officers were called to a residence in the 400 block of Apache Trail. The incident involved a family gathering where a 60-year-old man, Franklin Dean, allegedly armed himself with a firearm and discharged it at a family member.
Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Abatement Team members initiated a thorough investigation into the matter. Consequently, on December 11, Franklin Dean was apprehended and charged with one count of illegal use of a weapon, aggravated assault with a firearm, and impeding an investigation.
This arrest reflects the dedication of the Shreveport police department to addressing incidents of violence promptly and thoroughly. Suspect is innocent until proven guilty.
