Shreveport Police K-9 Helps Catch Fleeing Suspect
On August 24th, 2022, around 12:30 am Shreveport Police K-9 officers responded to assist the Shreveport Narcotics Unit in locating a subject that fled from a vehicle-stop on foot.
Officers believed that he was armed with a firearm when he ran from the vehicle. Officers determined that the subject maybe hiding at 827 Pine Tree Drive in the outside laundry and notified the K-9 unit.
K-9 Diesel was able to confirm that the suspect was in the laundry room where he then took the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Shamichael Blake (06/18/2001). He was treated for minor injuries and booked for the following charges:
Possession of Marijuana
Convicted Felon in possession of a Firearm
Flight in a Vehicle
Resisting Officer
Unauthorized Entry
Obstruction of Justice
Caddo warrant for PWID Sch. II
