Shreveport Firefighters Put Out Another Blaze at Jolie Apartments
SHREVEPORT, LA - An emergency situation again in the middle of Shreveport at a vacant apartment complex. Firefighters rushed to the Jolie Apartments just off of Shreveport Barksdale Highway to a reported apartment fire.
The call came in just after 10pm when a passerby saw thick black smoke coming from a building at The Jolie Apartments in the 1000 block of Quail Creek Road. Firefighters on Engine 11 arrived on scene within six (6) minutes and confirmed a fire inside one of the property’s two-story structures.
It took the efforts of twenty-eight (28) firefighters operating eleven (11) units to bring the fire under control at 10:43 PM. The fire damage was confined to one unit on the first floor of the structure.
No one was injured in this fire. The cause of the blaze and the full extent of the damage remain under investigation.

This property is posted under Mayor Tom Arceneaux’s Declaration of State of Public Health and Safety Emergency. The buildings do not currently have any utility services and entry by the public is strictly prohibited. Due to the enhanced danger to the safety of the public and first responders, anyone who witnesses suspicious activities at these properties, or any of the city’s vacant apartment complexes, is encouraged to contact authorities.
