Shreveport Fire Department were dispatched Friday (1/28/22) morning at 4:47AM  to the 4100 block of Tate Street to a reported single-story house fire. Fire Engine 15 was the first fire engine on scene and reported flames and smoke visible from the right side of the structure. Firefighters were able to enter the home through the front door and locate and extinguish the fire.

One occupant was home at the time and was able to escape unharmed. It took the efforts of 21 firefighters—7 fire units, 12 minutes to bring this blaze under control. The fire cause is still under investigation.
