Shreveport Fire Department Investigating Evening House Fire

Shreveport Firefighters responded to the 7800 block of Oak Creek Trail for a reported two- story single family home on fire.

The call was received at 8:20 p.m. When SFD units arrived on the scene at 8:27 p.m. they reported smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure. Shreveport Fire Department responded with ten units to this incident, and it took the efforts of more than two dozen SFD firefighters to bring this fire under control.

Currently, there are no reported injuries. The cause of this blaze is currently under investigation. The Shreveport Fire Department offers free smoke detectors.
