Shreveport Felon Faces Multiple Counts Including Firearm Charges
SHREVEPORT, LA- Convicted Felon Flees from Shreveport Police, Ends Up in Jail
On September 21st, 2024, at approximately 2:50 AM, officers with the Shreveport Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Christopher Beliew for multiple traffic violations. Beliew chose to flee in the vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit through the area.
The pursuit ended with Beliew's arrest, and during the investigation, officers discovered that he was in possession of a firearm. Beliew, a convicted felon, now faces a series of charges, including:
- Possession of Firearm/Carrying a Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon
- Resisting an Officer
- Aggravated Flight from an Officer
- Improper Lane Use
- Illegal Possession of Stolen Goods
- No Driver’s License
- Hit & Run
- Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Beliew has been booked into the Shreveport City Jail, where he remains in custody.
